,The Afternoon Auxiliary .of the Women's
Missionary Society of LucknOW Presbyterian
Church held their picnic meeting at the
'Plnitch July 4.
The meeting opened with a peein, When
Summer Gardens -Stnile. The Bible Study
was given.by, Mrs, Jack MacDonald.
Guest speaker was Clara Henderaencwho
spoke on tape about her work in/the mission
fields in Malaivi, Africa.
Mrs. Austin Loree led in a Bible quizz,
The meeting closed with a hymn and
prayer. and ,the . ladies enjoyed a bountiful
picnic supper. '

The best man was Lloyd McAuley,
formerly ,of Lucknow, who, was present •for
the evening. Olive (Farrier) Gillespie of
Sarnia, bridesmaid, was .also in attendance
at the dinner at the Mayfair Restaurant on

Oen House followed the dinner with
Mary Vair has been returned for a third
term .as chairman of the board of Wingham
and District Hosphal, with the hospital's
chief of staff, Dr. Brian Hanlon, as the new
vice chairman. - • ' •
In the election at the inaugural 'board
• meeting which followed.the annual -meeting
of the hospital association June 11; Vair
defeated Hans -Kuyvenhoven, the former
vice chairman. Kuyvenhoven declined to run
again for the vice chairman's post, and it
was tiketibir Dr. Hanlon, vvho-defeated John
Schenk. .
Dr. Hanlon also will serve as chairman of
the management committee, with Mary Lou
Thompson, Don Jolley, Wallah' Harris, Mr.
• Schenk and Robert. Middleton as its other
members.,

Carol Rintoul 'of West Wawanosh Town-,
ship attended a, provincial 4-H leadership
camp at•Olympia Sports Camp near Hunts-
ville in June.
Delegates developed communication, soc-
ial, recreation and leadership skills at.the
week long camp as well as taking the,
oppOrtunity to .make new friends., Carol is
active id local 4..H calf clubs. '
