A funeral service was held at Stiles oneral Home in Goderich, on Friday, May f ,1984 at 3 p.m., with .Rev. Robert 'Crocker fSt. George's Anglican -Church, Godetich fficiating. ' • OBITUARIES 1n his early life Mr. tfaldenby maintained much agr>lcultural support in, the area including operating a grist mill, custom threshing and farm transportation. He was a devoted secretary to S. S. # 2, Kinloss school board for a..number of years and had an op- portunity to.see much of the province, as he ' was a supervisor for Standard Paving- of Hull; Quebec for 30 years. After retirement, . he returned -to his agricultural pursuits as he worked with a local tile draining company. Eight years ago, as the result of a stroke, he required nursing home care, and became a resident of ,Brucelea Haven lir Walkerton. Left to m9urn, his passing are his son, Harold and. wife, Madeleine, daughter, Ethel' and husband, Clare Sparling, five grandchildren, Sheila - Smith, Barry and Marie, George and Cathy Haldenby and • Allan. ,and : Sylvia• and Douglas Sparling. Six great grandchildren, Debbie Smith,Allyson, Jason, Robbie, Corrynn and Dean Haldenby and two brothers, William and Arthur of George Wilson Haldenby 84 in his 87th year.
