late Mary Belie MacCharles . and Sohn
Robert McIntosh.
During World War II Bob sei4ed as a: pilot.
in the R:C.A F.• Upon; his return from the
service, he took, up farming on the family -
farms. in Huron and; Ashfield Townships
where ine 'farmed successfully until his
death. In 1953, following the death -of his
father, Bob:took over as: owner and manager
of t1ietLucknpw :Coaimuiiity Sales Barn and
built the present sales barn in 1958.
He took a leading part in community of

He was a faithful member of the Lucknow
United Church, the Lud now Lions. did., Old
Light Lodge #184, the Bluewater Shjne Clu,,
and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 309. ,
Bob was an upright business,. man and
loyal friend and' ; the community ° vc►a
' profoundly saddened and shocked to learn of
the death of this popular 'andagenial ran..
A memorial Legion service was held on
Wednesday evening, April 18, :1.984 at the
funeral parlour, 'The service was held .from
MacKenzie -and McCreath F>tneratI=ldine on
Thursday, April 19, 1984 uvith Rey. Warren
McDougall of the Lucknow United Church
'officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Allison
Ramsay' of the South Kinloss Presbyterian
Church. Following the service, the Shriners
formed ' an -honour guard.
In May, 1953 he married Lois Hunter 'who
predeceased him in August, 1981, His
passing is mourned' by his wife, the former
Mary Anna Maclntyre, whom he married in
January, 1983, and his daughter, Pamela
and. son, John, both at home.
The pallbearers were Grant Parrish, Lloyd
Hall, Gordon Brooks, Dave Elphick; Harold
Elphick and Donald , Hamilton. Honorary
pallbearers were Charlie Webster, Elton
McLellan, Russ. Button and Alex -Andrew.
Flower bearers were Grant McDonald,
Brian Rintoul, Donald Gaunt, Gordon Rout-
ston and Bob Lyons
Temporary entombment is in South
Kinloss Chapel. Final resting place will be in
Greenill Cemetery.
