Carroll's class *hen they were reading:about, The Little Red Hen. • " Sports auxiligry orders team sweaters President Elaine Irwin chaired the spring meeting of the Lucknow Ladies Auxiliary for Minor Sports on April 9 at the town hall. The minutes of the last Meeting were read by Lorna Guay and the treasurer's report was given by Deanna Reavie. Very special thanks were ettended to Bruce MadCelliie,' who did such an excellent job of looking after the poplitachille this past year, and to Gloria • Neufeld and Donna Mcaenaghan, booth convenets. • This paat,year, approximately 160 ladies worked on a vollinteer basis under" the capable 'direction of eight team leaders. Anyone,.who is interested in supporting the young people of this community, is tvelpetne to help in the booth next season. New team leaders are also needed. Money raised by the auxiliary in the past six years has been used to purchase hockey equipment, pe,nnanta,. Crests, pins, protect- ive glass around the' arena boards and new booth,equipnlent. Donations were also made for travelling expenses for All Ontario Finals and for wind up gatherings for skaters, and teams. New teamsweaters for the Senior Fleas are ordered. for next sseason. The ladies are to be commended for doing such a super 'job. over the years. With continued support and enthusiasm, next year will be even better.
