Fifteen students from five area element-
ary schools competed in the public speaking
competition, sponsored by the Royal Canad-
ian Legion, Branch 309, Lucknow held at the
Lucknow Legion Hall, Friday evening.
In the senior division,- Kent Campbell, a
grade 7 student at Lucknow Central Public
School, placed. , first .with his . speech,
Homework. Lisa Card, grade 8, St. Joseph's
Community School, 'Kingsbridge . came sec-
ond with aospeech entitled, Our Future, and
Donna Raynard, grade 8, Brookside Public.
Scheel placed 'third with a speech on,
