Donna Bieman opened the 'meeting with Prayer. Following the. responsive reading and prayer, Eilleen Hanna read _ the scripture.' Donna Bieman read the medita- tion, followed by ,a poem by. Luba Strutton, and prayer .by, Donna Bieman. Readings by Wanda Jefferson, St. Valentines, and How to Preserve a Husband by Donna Bieflnan were given. The SMPTE TV conference has become an international event of great importance and included contributions from all over the world. Some countries represented, in addition to Canada and the U.S.A., were France, Germany, England and Japan. Brindley's in Dungannon. The annual banquet and dance will be held November 24 at the Lucknow Community Centre. A toboggan party will. be held March 4. Grace Gibson. president, read a valentine verse. Twenty-two ladies answered the roll, call, How to be Good to the Aged. Mrs. Gammie chaired the meeting for the program. She read a valentine poem. Mrs. Webster gave the motto, A Recipe for a Happy Home. The guest speaker was Mrs. Glen Walden, who spoke on Consumerism. She proved very interesting and left members with much food for thought. She advised everyone to shop wisely and be a'vare of their rights. Mrs. Webster sang a solo and Mrs. Stonehouse tread a poem. Each were in keeping with Valentine's Day.
