From a romantic week-long ocean cruise
to .a few quiet days at a secluded resort
lodge or hotel . amidthe rugged beauty . of
notherni Ontario or Pennsylvania's pictures-
que Pocono region, newlyweds have a wide..
range ofhoneymoontrips from which to
choose.
In fact, a number of places under the sun
-.from a late summer or fall trip to Ber-
muda, a longtime favorite of honeymooners,
a visit: to a:Caribbeancouples-only resort, to
the . sun and surf of Mexico or Hawaii .----
seem to be high on the list with newlyweds
this season.. •
And for those who like wintersports, ski
holidays can also be arranged at a variety of
locations in North America, or abroad. '
While trips can be tailored io.virtually any
mood, budget or length .of stay, couples who
have set a date to get married shouldbegin
planning their honeymoon — both in terms
of how much they wish to spend and where
they most want to go — as soon as possible.
By making honeymoon plans well in ad-
vance, couples have a. much better `chance
of ensuring travel connections to, and, ac-
commodation at, a preferred location,
thereby avoiding the disappointment of not
being able togo somewhere on which they
had their hearts set.. .. ,
Couples getting married should::begin
making their honeymoon plans as soon as
they, can, and then reserve*, space early if
they have decided on a preferred location
fortheir post -wedding trip.
Couples might also consider having an
alternate honeymoon spot in mind, just in.
'case bookings at their preferred location
cannot be made to mesh exactly with their
travel schedule.

budget.. A honeymoon trip can be enjoyable
and exciting, without being, extravagant.
Couples should set a very realistic budget
for honeymoon costs and then stick to it.
With this in mind, many newlyweds save:
money in advance to cover the cost of their
honeymoon, and there are also many :travel..
options available that take into .account.

Cruises are very popular 'with honey:
` One of the things every groom must con-
' sider is' the preparation of his honeymoon
wardrobe. Two main factors determine his
choice'-- the mode of travel and the destina-
tign.:
t If. you plan to fly or drive, travel clothes' ,
should be casual and comfortable. If a
cruise: is scheduled, the casual togs .should
be augmented by at least a 'suit or sport
jacket and'slacks for dinner. It's a safe rule
of .thumbthat for a two-week cruise, four
complete and distinctly different outfits will
be enough. Your travel agent can advise
whether a dinner jacket may be needed' as
well.
• For travel by car or plane, a pair of jeans, ,
two pairs of slacks and several sport shirts
are among basic needs. A dress Shirt or two,
and a couple of ties will come' in handy for
dinnersat'first-class restaurants.
Wash-and-wear slacks and shirts are
practical. Whether your destination is a
quiet resort ora big city, sport coats and a
blazer. with . slacks could comprise your
dressiest outfit. Try to select slacks that co-
ordinate with the jackets — in this way, they
do double duty.
Three sets of wash/wear underwear
should be enough, as you can wash out one
set each day and have a spare always ready.
