All the players deserve recognition and
congratulationalor a fine team eftdrt which
has resulted in nine wins and one tie since
the New Year. • •
In 'their 3 - 3 tie ,with Kincardine •on \
January 28, Eric CpWan opened the scoring
from Darrin Foreman. Jim Jurjens followed
with one from Gary Forster before Kincar-
dine tied the, score atthe end.ofs•ne_ period.
The second periodwas scoreless.
Jeff Burgsma talliedin the third from
Jurjelis and Dave McDougall. Kincardine
tied the score with 32 seconds left in the
game. . - •
On January 30, the boys blasted Blyth 10 -
3. Eric Cowan led the- attaar with four gc
while Darrin Foreman' added two. Single
goal scorers were Jeff BurganuOlin Jtirjens
and Robbie Beirnes who played the third
period on defence, 1'.
On February 4 Ripley came to town but
failed to score on Robbie Beirnes who
recorded his third shutout of the season in a
3 -0.win. The line Of Burgsma, Jurjens and
McDougall did all the scoring with. Burgsma •
leading- the team with one goal • and two
assists. . • • • .
In their toughest' phis' in recent weeks, •
the team had to comefrombehind after two
periods to beat Milverton 4 - 2. .Darrin
Foreman put Lucknow on the scoreboard
assisted by Burgsma and Rob Maize in the
second periokilowever, Milverton led 2 - 1
after two periods. -
In the third Jurjens scored an unassisted
goal and Cowan netted two from Kikkert and
Treleaven. Robbie Beirnes shut down the,
Milverton attack in the final period to secure
the. victory.
The team has three aloes scheduled over
the next week. Come out and watch some
exciting hockey!'

Juveniles defeat Teeswater to advance to quarter fin*

Juveniles downed Teeswater 6, 4 on .Sunday
to sweep the WOAA finals, three games
straight.

This is the first time in three years that.
Lucknow has defeated Teeswater to win the
W.O.A.A. and it took hard work and a total
team effort to do it.'
The Juveniles' begin their OMHA 'quarter
final series with Erin on Thursday in Erin.
The second game of the best, of five series
will be held Sunday afternoon at 3.45 in
Lucknow.
