Donations were made- to. the. Dungannon
Senior :Citizens Building Fund :and to the
,,Dungannon Agricultural Society. Plans were
made to _ celebrate this branches 70th
anniversary ,on June ' 13.

Donna Young introduced the guest
speaker, William Partridge, who is Chief
Librarian for Huron County. He told us there
are . 29 libraries. in Huron County. The
vounticy library, as we know it today, was
established in 1967. Mr. Partridge distrib-
uted pamphlets which included an applica-
tion form for space in the Huron Historical
Atlas 1984, which is being compiled as a
Bicentennial Ontario Project. The district
president has asked each Branch Curator in
Huron West to contribute a short history to
be part of a page in the Atlas.
Wil'letta McWhinney thanked the speaker

were sold on an afghan to bedrawn in

seniors raise money for the purchase of the

now being conducted throughout the area for
this worthwhile projectand it is hoped the
'.people ;will support the .area seniors.

The annual meeting for Dungannon -con
gregation. was held ' on Sunday evening,
January 29 in the church basement. Some of
the changes in officers are as follows: Jim
Errington was named as elder and Elsie
Irvin withdrew; Helen ' Stothers' retired as
Missions Secretary and. Bessie McNee was
appointed; Jack Caesar was asked to. help.
Harold Menaryas auditor; Nancy Hamilton
withdrew as a C.G.LT. leader and Penny
Hodges is taking her, place; Lila Stewart- is
continuing' with C.G.I.T. -
