The i ' gannon 125th birthday'cammittee has donated the remaining money raised at the
cele ration to Brookside Public School for the purchase of athletic team uniforms. The navy

Art Clark scored eve of nine 'goals on the
weekend to give Lucknow Juveniles :a 2 0
lead in the W.OAA.. playoffs that began
Friday nigh t in Teeswater. -
The first game saw Teeswater outscore
Lucknow 2.0 in- the first, period, but just 17
seconds into the second, Dave Gibson broke
the icefor Lucknow on. a pass from Paul
Maclntyre. A,;rt -Clark tied the score late in
the second and tallied the winner with just
eight minutes remaining in the game. '
On Sunday the Juveniles came out flying
and it looked like a one sided contest. Wayne
Philips,; Mike Whitcroft and'Art Clark gave.
Lucknow a 3 - 1 lead early into the selydnd
only to see Teeswater come back and tie the.
score. Art Clark scored his second goal with
51 seconds left in the second period and
Lucknow held a 4 - 3 lead .at the end of two:
Teeswater tied the score early in the third.
and took a '5 4 lead at the halfway mark. ,At
this point 'the Lucknow team was in a state of
mass hysteria and the ensuing eight Minutes
were total confusion but with just. four

minutes -remaining, ; ; Teeswater took a
penalty and -the localsreorganized on the
power ;play • ` .•

looked " liiCe ''.overtime until Lucknow was
penalized in the last two minutes. Art Clark
was assigned the penalty killing duties and
with only 33''seconds left on the clOck, he
picked up, a '.loose puck in the Teeswater end
and blasted home the game winner,.:
Despite a few hectic minutes in the third
period, . the team . played well but Paul
MacIntyre, Mike . IfUmphrey ' and Paul,
Jerome deserve special mention ..for their
defensive effprts,'late n the third period.
The, next game of this best of five series
will be held Sunday,afte'rnoon at 3,45p.m.
