Con. 7 Huron Twp. December no 1,983, after
a lengthy illness. -
Born at Weston Ont. on Aug. 3,1916, he
was 67 years old,
He was the son of the late Harold Brooks

different aspects of the program they have in
the Armouries in Wingham attended -by
many seniors from thesurrounding area as
well as Wingham.
" Miss Rice was thanked and given a small
cheque -for the use of the Homeliound. •

Lucknovv Village Council authorized the
submission of the sewage works report
containing the revisions necessary by the
change in the locationof the treatment
facility to the Ministry of the Environment.
Lucknow Village Council authorized the
increase of the village's hydro rates by nine
per cent overall.
Lutknow Fire Chief George Whitby
submitted his resignation effective Decem-
ber 1. Whitby also resigned as building
inspector for the village of Lucknow effective
December 31.-)

Jewitt accepted a transfer to the position of
principal at Seaforth Public School effective
January 1, 1983.
Doctors at Wingham and. District Hospital
endorsed the hospital's plan to build a new
emergency and outpatient wing adding the
medical staff vigorously exhorts the board of
governors tosee the project .through as
, expeditiously as possible. An ad hoc
committee which is currently making
presentations to area organizations explain-
ing the need for the new wing and how it
will be funded is being met with a positive
response.
A' feature article described how the Huron
County Home Care program is available for
new mothers who do not wish to stay in
hospital for extended ,care following the birth -
of their babies. Fran McQuail, of West Wa-
wanosh Township returned home 24 hours
after her daughter, Kate's birth and with the
assistance of a Town and Country Home-
maker and the care of a Victorian Order.
Nurse found the Home Care arrangernent
was good for the entire family. Fran
recommends the program for any family
expecting a new baby.
