Church ,sat down to a turkey sup-
per in the Sunday School room
of the Belgrave United Church on
Friday evening.
Gilbert Beecroft was chairman
for a varied program. . Doreen Pat-
tison gave a piand . solo; Calvin
Robinson and Gordon McBurney
played mouth :organ duets; Jim-
mie 13eecroft,., Lawrence Taylor
and Mrs. Gordon McBurney gave
readings and ;three girls sang a
chorus. Six of "the' boys sang mo-
tion songs; with Mrs. Sidney
Thompson at the piano. A story
telling panel proved interesting to
all, with Clarence Chamney, Claire
Chamney, Roy Pattison, Ronald
Coultes, Ivan DoW, Murray Shiell,
Cameron 'Robinson Alex Robert-
son and Mrs. John Jamieson tak-
ing part. Each was, privately given
a line of 'thought to be mixed into
a story before the sounding of the
bell. They tried to work in their:
lines and the opponents tried 'to
guess what the line of thought was,

Norman Coultes presented -a clock
from the congregation to Mr. and
Mrs, Krug, .who thanked the people

ing of the Woman's Missionary
Society and the Woman's Associ-
ation of Knox United Church was
held in the church on Wednesday
afternoon. Mrs, Leslie Bolt opened
the WA, meeting with a hymn
and prayer, The minutes were
read by Mrs, Jack Taylor, and the
financial statement by Mrs. J, M.
Coultes showed a balance' on hand
of $1,105.00. She also stated that
the painting and labour, etc., for
the new rooms to the church had
been paid,, as well as the new
tablecloths, The group decided to
purehase several new relish dishes
for the kitchen,
Mrs. George Martin and Mrs,
milliard Armstrong were appointed
as the nominating committee to
bring a new slate of Officers to the
next Meeting, Final arrangements
were made for the bazaar, 'to be
held the latter part of November.
