the Glad Tidings prayer and Mrs.
Russell Ross gave the offertory
prayer., Mrs. Andrew Gaunt gave
a. report of the Montreal-Ottawa
and the 'Maritime Synod meetings.
Mrs, John McGee played a. piano
solo, and Mrs, Wm, Purdoa led in
the missionary prayer. The ladies

held on Wednesday In the S'S.
room, with the president, Mrs,
Milian Moore, presiding and thin-
teen ladies Present. The theme of
the meeting was "FelloW Workers
With God", Mrs,. Ezra Scholtz read
the aSeripture lesson.
Mrs, Jas, Falconer was in charge
of the topic on the study of Af-
rica. Mrs, E. H. Gro,sicerth spoke
on the new venture among Women
and Mrs. Ben McClenaghan 'gave 'a
reading on meaningful translations
of parts of the.Bible far the Af-
rican People. Mit. Russell Chapman
spoke on "The 'Land of Contrast",
and Mrs. J, D, Beecreft told of the
work Of the Bible Society where
they distribute 1.?a, million Bibles
yearly- in- • e20 languages- in 'Af rica,'

of the World Day of Prayer,
Mrs. J, D. Beecroft gave a mus.

to hold their Thankofferiag meet-
ing on October i4th, and to extend
invitations to the ladies of the

They will also have the special film
"Nakamia", the story of a little
African girl.
