Private fu- neral service Wednesday, Aug. 26th, Mr. and Mrs. MacLeod , celebrated their golden wedding anniversary earl yin June of this year. Wm. J. Foxton Dies in West. Word was received, here last \week of the death of W. J. Foxton in Harniota Hospital. Mr. Foxton suffered a heart attack on Tues- day evening at his hdme at Decker, Man. He was removed to hospi- tal on' Wednesday morning and passed away that evening. Mr. Foxton would have been 76 next month. He was born in Wingham, a son of William Fox- ton and Mary Jane Walker. He attended Holmes' school. Over 50 years ago he Went West and . took up farming. He mer- ried.Mary Jane' MacDonalft,. A na- tive of 'Manitoha, about 40 years ago, who survives, with five 'sons and three daughters. Mr. Paxton retired -a number of years ago and has 'resided at Deck- er. Last March he visited broth- ers and sisters here for a few days, while 'on a trip to Nova Scotia. He is survived by four brothers and three sisters, Albert, ;Harold, Herb and Milford Foxton and Mrs. 'Hehrietta MacDonald, all of Wing- ham, Mrs. .1. L. (Sarah) Mair, of Winnipeg and Mrs. Leroy (Norma) Bender of Clifford.
