Rev. T, E. Kennedy preached in
the Presbyterian Church on 'Sunday
to the congregations of the Pres-
byterian and 'United Churches,
This is the last of the union ser-
vices held since the first of July,
and which have been 'very 'success-
ful, with large audiences. 'On Sun-
day, August 30th, there will be no
service in either church. Regular
services in both churches will be
resumed on September 6th with
Rev. T. E. Kennedy and Mr. Alan
Neelon occupying their respec-
tive pulpits.
Meetings of the W.M.S. and the
Women's Association will be held
in the United Church on Thursday,
September 3rd. No church meet-
ings were held during August.
Mr. and Mrs. Luther Kerr and
children of Montreal, visited the
former's brother, Mr. Jack Kerr,
and other friends last week,
Mrs. Teresa Hadley, of Shelbrook,'
Sask., is visiting relatives in this
vicinity, Mrs. W, J. Johnston, Mrs.
Frank Stamper and others. Mrs.
Hadley is the daughter of the late
Jack Stewart and Teresa Souch,
who formerly lived in Bluevale.

Ruby Duff on Thursday.
