service Sunday afternoon in the
Carrie cemetery.
The Rev. J. Ewart Clark of the
Gorrie United Church was the
speaker and the Rev. J, W. Hird
read the lesson. , Flowers were
placed on the mound in memory
of departed members.

The WiA, meeting which follow-

Chamney. It had been prepared
by Mrs. Wrn. Hardy who was un-
able to be present. Mrs. Hay
Hanna read the Scripture 'from
Galations, chap 6; 1-10. Mrs.
Gordon Naylor gave a reading en-
titled "Doorway to August".

tion, Lunch was served by the
hostess assisted by Mrs, Sam
Thompson and Mrs. Hilliard Jef-
ferson, The bazaar which was
held at the close was in aid of
the W.M.S, and provided the so-
