returned home.

Little Miss Anne McKercher is
a patient. in the Winghain Hospital.
We wish her a speedy recovery.

WROXETBR—The August meet-
ing of the Women's Institute was
held at the home of Mrs. Allan
Munro with ten members and six
visitors present, under the heading
of historical research and current
events, Mrs. W, T. McLean 'pre-
sided and Mrs. H. Timm acted as
secretary, Minutes and correspon-
dence were dealt with.
A donation of $5.00 was voted to
the local Howick Pair Boaid. A
committee was appointed to work
on the Tweedsmuir Book and the
roll call was items for the book.
An item, "Life and Religion",
composed by Padre Young, chap-
lain of the O.A.C., was read by
Mrs. Charles Cathers
The topic, "Look' ahead, think,
plan and dream, for out of dreams
empires have grown", was ably
given by Mrs. Leslie Douglas.
,highlights Of this topic were a
goal to work for, ideas we develop
to accomplish this goal and suc-
cess, These were intermingled
with poems by the late, Edgar
`Guest.
