Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brown, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Brown and Miss Annie Diebel attended the funeral of a friend, Mrs. Matilda Harper, Mildmay, on Monday. Mr. John Hupfer, Mrs, Alonzo Sparling and Miss Hazel Sparling were Sunday guests at the home'of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Eaton, Sea- forth. Mrs. Snarling remained for a longer visit. We are sorry to report Miss Miss Anne McKercher, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Glenn McKercher, Jamestown, is a patient in the Wingham Hospital with rheumatic fever. -We hope for a speedy re- covery, Messrs, Art Gibson, Harvey Mc- Michael and Jack Willits, and many others from Howick, attended the Huron County Soil and Crop Im- provement meeting at Clinton on Tuesday evening. Rickey Clarke had his appendix removed at the Palmerston 'Hos- pital recently and is now making a speedy recovery at his home. Mrs. Winnifred Clarke and son, Ronald, of (Listowel, visited with Mr. and Mrs, Jack Clarke on Wed- nesday of last week.
