berry Jam—you can be sure of
its perfect set, sure it will be a
family favourite, too.
PINEAPPLE ANDSTRAWBERRY

4 cups prepared fruit (1 ripe ,
pineapple and about I qt.
ripe strawberries)
7 cups (3 lbs.) sugar
,bottle Certo fruit pectin
First, prepare the fruit. Pare 1
medium-sized fully ripe pine-`
apple. Grind or chop very fine.
(Or use 2 14 cups Canned crushed
pineapple). Crush thbroughly
about 1 quart fully ripe straw-
berries. Combine fruits.•Meailure
4 cups into a very large saucepan.
'Then make the jam. Add Sugar
to fruit in Saucepan, mix well.
Place over high heat, bring to a
full rolling boil, Boil- hard 1
Minute, stirring constantly. Rey
move from heat, stir in Certo
at once. Skim off foam with
metal spoon. Stir and skim by
'turns for 5 Minutes to cool'slight.

Thursday, June 11: He had been
ill._ since last fall.
Be was born in Turnberry Town-.

late JameS Elliott and Jane Louttit,
Mr.: Elliott attended Kirton's
Scheel and later took up farming.
On February 4, 1920, he 'married
Agnes H. Mitchell of Wroxeter.
He was a member of Chalmers
Presbyterian. Church, Whitechurch,
Surviving besides his wife are
two Sons, Mitchell of Ailsa Craig,
and Walter of E. Wawanosh, and
two daughters, Isabel (Mrs. Bill
MacPherson) of W, Wawanosh and
Marjorie (Mrs. Don Campbell) of
Beigravo. He is also survived, by
brothers Albert, of Regina, Sask„
and Jim of Turnberry, and sisters
Mary (Mrs. Allan MaeTavish and
Tena (Mrs. Albert Walters), both
of Wingham.
Rev. R. T. A. Marshall conducted
the funeral service on Saturday
afternoon at 2,30 from, the R. A.
Currie & Sons funeral home. In-
terment was in Wingham ceme-
tery. Pallbearers were John Craig,
John Gaunt, Albert Paterson, Tom•
Morrison Charlie. Martin and El-
roy Laidlaw,
