George.Taylor Dies
At Sister's, Home •
There passed away at the home
of his sister, Mrs, P.. 'Pennington,
on Saturday, May 16, George Wen-
dell Taylor, He was the son of the
late William Taylor and Laveunia
Bell, born October 12th, 1894,
He farmed all his life on the
homestead, lot '30, con. 4, Kinloss
Township, until a heart condition
forced him to retire two years ago
last Christmas, Since then he has
made his home with his sister and
lirother-in-law in CulroSs.
Survivors are his sister, (Myra)
Mrs, Perry Pennington; two ne-
phews, Russel arid Harold Pen-
nington and one niece, (Jean) Mrs.
Wallace Bell, Blyth.
The funeral was held from the
W, G, Church funeral home, Tees-
water, on Tuesday afternoon, May
19, with interment in Tiffin's
cemetery, Langside. Pallbearers
were James 'Richardson, Charles
Tiffin, Fred Tiffin, Charles Tay-
lor, Jack Taylor, Wallace Conn.
Flower bearers were George Tif-
fin, Archie Aitcheson, Jamieson
Pettypiece, Wesley Tiffin.

My sincere thanks to all my
friends for kindness and thought-
fulness shown to me during my
recent illness; also for cards, let-
ters, visits, flowers and treats.
Special thanks to Mr, Myers, Dr.
Kirk and Dr, Conners, the nursing
staff and attendants at the Listow-
el Memorial Hospital. Thanks al-
so for care given my, family at
this time. These acts of kindness

Church held 'its meeting on, Wed-
nesday afternoon, May 27th in the
church. Mrs. T, Abraham vies
leader, and opened the meet-
ing with a call to worship and
prayer, followed by singing- of a
hymn.
The Bible reading was taken
from Matthew,'" Luke and ,John,
and read by several of the ladies.
srfrs. Harry Mulvey gave a read-
ing from the Missionary Monthly
and Mrs. Simmons gave one on
temperance. The roll call was ans-
wered by naming a church that
had been started by Paul,
Mrs. F. Doubledee read the po-
em, "Let Me Live in My House by
the Side of the Road and Be a
Friend to Man", Mrs. Ira Neil
gave the last chapter in the study
b ao k, "Christianity's Second
Chance",
Mrs. W. Johann read a short
poem, "Something Good about
You"; after which the president,
Mrs. West, took over 'the bubiness
part of the meeting. It was decid-
ed to make a quilt to send in the
bale. A hymn was sung, after
which Mrs. Abraham closed the
Meeting with prayer.
