Hospital on Monday, April 27th,
She was $7 years of age and had

She is survived by a son, James,
at' orne and 'three daughters, Miss-
es Elva and Ethna, 'both at home
and. Mrs. Pedon Connell (Kather-
ine) of Palmerston. There 'are
four sisters, Mrs. John, Warrel,
Fordwich; Mrs. George Harris,
Vancouver, Mrs. Frederick Teal
Mrs. Edward Dayton, both of Al.=
row River, Man. She is also sur-
viyed by two grandchildren and
one great-grandchild,
Mrs, Foster was a member of
the Anglican Church at Fordwich,
from which the funeral was held
on• Thursday with Rev. E. C, Att-
well, assisted by Rev. A, F. Gard-
ner and Rev. J. H. Hird, The
pallbearers were W. A , Gibson,
John Gamble, Samuel Newton,
William Newton, Spence Brears
and Art MeVittie. Interment was
in Fordwich cemetery.

FORDWICH-.-The Sigma-C and
the Tyro Boys of the Fordwich
United Church held their Father
and Son banquet on Monday night,
April 27, in the basement of the
Fordwieh United Church. Sixty
men and boys sat down to supper
served by. the C.G.I.T. girls. '
A program of toasts and other
numbers was presided over by Fra-
ser Pollock. After the toast to the
Queen, played by Jack Ruttan, a
vv toastk as proposed to the Church
by Bob Bride, and Rev. A. F. Gard-
ner made the reply. The fathers
were toasted by Brian Allen and
the reply was given by Robert Gib-
son. Harold Pollock made the
toast to the boys and Gordon Kas-
ter replied,
A boys' quintet sang a song and a
skit, "Cat Pie" was presented by
the boys. Jim 'Robinson introduc-
ed the guest speaker, Rev, McClure
of Molesworth, who spoke on dis-
cipline. Andy Miller thanked the
speaker. Robert Hibbert closed the
enjoyable evening with prayer,

were made in Fordwich last week.
Mr, T. J. Schaefer moved from
his farm on the fourth concession
to the store and restaurant he pur-
chased from Mr, Harvey McDer-
mitt Harvey moved out to the
farm vacated by T. J. Schaefer.
Mr. and Mrs, Harvey Williamson
moved some of their household
goods from Thornhill to the home
of the late Mrs. Elmer Fallis.
HARRY DANE WAS
BORN IN MANITOBA
The death of a highly respected
resident of Wroxeter, Henry Cecil
Elliott Dane, took place suddenly
at his home in that village on Wed-
nesday morning of last week, He
was in his 62nd year.
Born at Eunclody, Man., Mr.
Dane was a son of the late James
Dane and Letitia Earner, He was
educated at Bunclody and later
farmed there, coming to Wroxcter
in 1929. During the First World
War he enlisted with the 1st De-
pot Battalion, Manitoba Regiment,
and served in France with the 27th
Canadian Battalion, He served fol.
some time as assessor for the
Township of Howick after moving
to Ontario. He Was a member of
the United Church,
Mr. Dane Is survived by his Wife,
'the former Irene Seegmiller, of
Walkerton; two 'brothers and, one
sister, William, of Souris, Men.;
George, of Alexander, Man.; and
Mrs. Anne DaViS, West Hawk,
Man,
Service Was held at the Moir
funeral hone in Gortid on Satur-
day $,t 2 p.m, in charge of Rev,

The pallbearers were Howard Wy-
