Aluminum foil is also an efficient

foil to speed up and ineproVe the
cooking process: However, the cost •
of foil makes it expensive to use
as a • general all-purpose house-
hold wrap.
Saran film, Lite coetribution of
the chemical industry to the house-
hold wrap field, is probably the
Most versatile and can be used
for almost every wrapping purpose,.
Although it cannot stand exposure'
to direct heat, it .has certain
special advantages.
Saran has a self-adhering
quality which ensures a complete
air and moisture-proof seal always.
Its transparency lets you see the
contents without unwrapping, ex-,
cellent for identifying those mys-
terious bowls and plates of left-
over that accummulate in the fam-
ily refrigerator! The pliability and
softness of saran lets - it 'conform,
like a second skin to any shape,
so that it can be used as a storage
wrap for everything- from silver
and paint brushes to bulky linens
and sweaters, A "queen size" roll
is ,now available for easier 'wrap-
ping of larger .items. •
'The perfect wrap, of course,
would combine the qualities of
saran film and foil with' the low
cost of wax paper. Until it .arrives,
more and. more homemakers keep
a supply of all three types of wrape
always on hand and -use each judi-
ciously. They have found this a
good investment. For the right
household wrap, properly used,
pays for itself many times over in
added housekeeping convenience
and lowered food costs.
How to Brew
A Good CUp of Tea
Whether you prefer a tea with
a mild, mellow flavour or the new
blend now on the market, a darker
tea with a deeper flavour, there are
basic rules to follow in brewing.
First, warm the tea pot. Bring
water from the cold water tap to a
full, rolling boil, Use one tea bag
for eachltwo cups and brew from
three to five minUtes. Remove
the bags, stir sand serve.
It's as easy as that. A hearty
cup of piping hot tea is a real
pick-me-up.
