a parked truck on the Kincardine
highway. Both suffered head and

Alex Robertson, of Bast Wawa-
nosh, a member of the Wingham
General Hospital board, Was ad-
n'iited to that institution on Mon-
day suffering from Shook and con-
tusions to his head. He was in-
jured as he removed his tractor
from; the barn, his liead being
caught between the frame of the
door and the machine. He was
released from hospital the fol-
lowing day,

teaching in Brantford.
Mr, and Mrs, Earl Baker and
family of London visited on Sunday
with Mrs. Martha Baker,
Mrs, Garnard King is confined
to Palmerston Hospital this week,
having treatment on a foot injury.
Miss. Anne Lindsay, 'of Toronto,,
spent the week-end With her
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Johnston.
Mr, and Mrs. Scott Keith and
Randy visited Sunday with Mr.
and Mrs. Alex Keith,
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Williamson
and daughters of Thornhill are
spending a few days with Mrs. El-
mer Fallis. •
Mr, George Ashton has sold his
farm to a, brother of Mr. Goosen
Winkel, who now resides in Kit-
chener,
Messrs. Harold' Pollock, Mel Al-
lan and Robert Gibson attended
the Good Roads convention in To-
ronto.
George Ashton, who resides two
miles west of Fordwich on the. 6th
concession of Howiek, has sold his
farm to Mr. Winkle of Kitchener,
who obtains possession of the farm
on the 15th of April,

CARNIVAL SUCCESS
AT FORDWICH ARENA
FORDWICH—A very successful
carnival was held in the Fordwieh
arena on Saturday night after
having been postponed from •the
previous Saturday owing to weath-
er conditions. Commencing at 8
o'clock with a hockey game be-
tween Molesworth and Fordwich
girls, the latter won by the score
of 3-2.
Miss Nancy Gedcke of Kurtaville
was chosen Queen of the carnival..

FORDWICH--1The Women's In-
saftute met for the February Meet-
ing at the home of Mrs, Ken
Graham with the president, Mrs.
Anson Demerling presiding. De-
votions were taken by Mrs. G.
Winkel, call Was answered

Mrs. Stan Bride gave the motto
"Citizenship like 'charity, begins at
home", She said we should be less

the Institute thanked Mrs. Kato
