don by ambulance on Monday of

on Thursday after spending sev-
eral days in Toronto where her
sister is quite ill with pneumonia.

and were guests at the Justason -
Verdi wedding at Benton Street
Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph Sosling of Goelerich, former-
ly of Wingham, also attended the
wedding.
—Miss Nancy Hutcheson was in
London over the week-end and vis-
ited with .her mother, Mrs. Dave
Hutcheson, who is seriously ill in
St, Joseph's Hospital.
Mrs. A. M. Forbes of London
arrived on Monday and will spend
a few days with her mother, Mrs.
Howard.

en Sound, was a week-end visitor
at St. Paul's rectory with Rev C. F.
and Mrs. Johnson.
—Mrs. Allister Green entertained
her Sunday School class of eight-
year-old girls to dinner recently.
Miss Joan BrOoks, assistant tea-
cher, was also a guest at the din-
ner. Christmas carols were sung
and several games were played.

WROXETER—The school' room,
of the church was the setting for
the monthly meeting of the WKS,
which took the form of a Christ-
mas service from the Hymnary and
was arranged and conducted by
Mrs, Jas,' Dolg and Mrs, Harvey
Thiani, Mrs, G. L. Dobson was
pianist and a number of. lovely
Christmas carols were sung, inelud-
ing, "There's a Song in the Air",
"Away In A Manger", "Angels
from the Realms of Glory" and
"While Shepherds Watched Their
Flocks by Night",
The Scriptere lesson, taken front
the Hy:I-Mary, was comprised of
"Te Deum Laudamus" and "Bene-
dietus", and 'the prayer in unison
was the General Thanksgiving and
a Confession of sin.
Mrs, Doig gave an interesting
talk on the subject of Christmas
and Mrs. Tin-1m rend an article on
"Christmas Thoughts" by Padre
Young, During the business portion
of the meeting, presided over by
the president, Mrs. K, Edgar, it
was reported by the secretary that
a bale comprised of good used
clothing, weighing about 145 lbs,,
valued at $110, had 'been sent to
the Gibson Indian ReserVe at
Bala. A letter was read from Mrs.
Smith, acknowledging same,
Miss E. Hupfer, supply secretary,
reported that a missionary parcel
weighing 30 lbs„ containing 15 yds
of print, children's clothing, nylons,
soan' and ' sewing materials, etc.,
had" been sent to Miss Ada San-
,dell in Korea,
In regard to an appeal for, aid
for those suffering from the I, N
strike in Sudbury, it was decided
to send a tiOnation of $10.00, Letters
from Rev, Carl Krug, CKNX, from
a member who nad been ill, ack-
nowledging visits and cards, and
one concerning the World Day of
Prayer on February 13th were
read.
The treasurer's report, given 'by
Mrs, S. Higgins showed a substan-
tial balance on hand, and members
were pleased to learn that the al,
location had been successfully met.

presided for the installation of of-
ficers for. the coming year. The
