through an operation on' her badly
broken and crushed 'ankle on Mon-
day, in hospital in Detroit.
Mr. Gordon Elliott had the mis-
fortune to break his right arm be-
tween the elbow and shoulder on
Saturday evening, and is a patient
in Victoria' Hospital, London,
Mr, • and Mrs. Gerald Watson of
Forest spent the week-end at the
home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Allan Pattison. Mrs. Watson re-
mained for, a week's visit.

United Church on Thursday after-
noon with thirteen ladies present.
The theme of the worship service
of the W.M.S. was "Are Strangers
Enemies?", and Mrs. B. F. Green,
the president, was assisted by Mrs.
G., Stuart.
Miss Rutherford read a poem,
