Frost has never Made a more Im-
portant eleetion promise than that
of good government for the Pro-
vince of Cintarie, a promise which
he and his followers have laith-
fully carried out. To• illustrate
the point pr, Dymond pointed to
the fantastic growth of the pro-
vince: In the past go ,years the
population lois doubled, industrial
expansion In Qatari() has equalled
that -of the rest of. Canada corn-
billed: the number of hydro coil-
suiners has, been tripled, so that
today .94 per cent of the farm
homes are •electrified. The eon-
struction of new and better high-
ways hit, its peak this year, with
an expenditure of $275 millions for
the twelve-month period, There
are two million motor vehicles on
the roads of the province, bring-
ing in an annual revenue of about
$200 million,
Dr- PYtnorld also referre• d to the
education system, where grants
from the province have been stead-
ily increased, He said that the
teacher shortage is being handled
and there are no schools without
teachers this year: The govern-
ment has assumed the biggest part
of public welfare costs as well.
Greatest 115aqiitin •
The speaker 'referred to the in-
coming health insurance plan as
"the greatest health bargain ever

tion to the low coverage rates
Which are made possible by gov-

Per bed to each htispital,
Dr. Dymond said that 'the Frost
government stepped into the bi'eaeb
last winter and made it 'possible to
prcivide a crash program of employ-
ment for !many Of those who were
out of work and that preparations
have been made should a similar
'situation arise this year. He also
referred • to the problems which
farmers faced during the Past few
years as this province inevitably
swung from an agricultural to an,
industrial economy.
As the convention opened Lloyd.
Jasper asked a minute's sihince in
memory of Knowlson Hueston and
David .Carruthers, president and
Vice-president of the association,
who passed ' away since the last

President Speaks
Lloyd Jasper, new president of
the ,association, also spoke of Mr,
Hanna and the conscientious way
in. which he has served • the con-

reminded hi& hearers that no can-

win.an election single-handed, and
asked fcir the very best of co-opera-

Mr, Hanna's rumination was
moved „by Wesley Joynt. of Luck-
now and seconded by Dick Elliott,
both of whom spoke their confi-
dence in. John.Hanna and the job
he:has done and will do in the fu-
tare, for this-riding. •
As Dr. Dymond opened hi& ad-
