BELGRAVE—The regular meet-
ing of the Canadian Girls in Train-
ing was held on Friday evening
and was opened with the purpose
followed by Luke 2, verse 52, in
unison. Three verses of the Child-
ren's Song were repeated. Barbara
Krug read the minutes in the ab-
sence of the, secretary, Marie
Coultes. The girls were reminded
to bring their UNICEF Money in.
rt 'was decided to ask the Even-
ing Auxiliary members to be mys-
tery mothers for the year,. Barbara
Krug and Marie Coultes will be in
charge of the next worship service.
Joyce Procter was named pianist
till after Christinas. A letter of
thanks was. read from the Boy
Scouts for the Hallowe'en party.
Rev. K Krug asked that the girls
attend the Boy Scout service on
Sunday, November 16, when the
Scouts receive their charter,
The girls are to each bring a
pound of icing sugar and meet at
the home of Mrs. Ted Fear on
November 14 and make chocolates
for the bazaar the following week.
Patsy Logan's name is to be sent
in .as the lucky goblin in connee-
lion with the UNICEF collection,
Mrs, Ted Fear was in charge of
the warship service and opened it
with the call to WorShip tenanted
by a hymn.

Before leaving on their honey-
moon trip the bride changed to a
navy suit, white feather hat and
red accessories and wore a corsage
of red and white carnations.
On their return the newlyweds
will reside at 87 Euclid Ave., Wa-
terloo,

The recent marriage of Miss
Mary Elizabeth Pocock, daughter
of Mr, and Mrs, Walter Pocock to
Mr. Douglas Ralph Smith, son of
Mr. and Mrs. James Smith, Holy-
rood, was solemnized in. Wingham
Baptist Church with Rev, Don-
ald Sinclair officiating. Mrs. John
Ostrum played the wedding music.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a ballerina-length
gOwn of white brocaded taffeta fa-
shioned on princess lines. A white
feather hat held her fingertip il-
lusion veil. She carried a cascade
of white and • red carnations.
Mrs. Paul Ruhnke, Chatham, who
was matron of honor for her sister,
chose a ballerina trapless gown of
pink over blue net with matching
bolero. Miss Jane McKague was
bridesmaid and wore a pink em-
broidered taffeta strapless gown

Court of Revision
Hears One Appeal
The East Wawanosh Council met
November 4th with all the members
present, the reeve presiding. The
minutes of the meeting held Octo-
ber 7th were read and adopted on
InOtion of Buchanan and Hanna.
Manna-Buchanan—That the road
and' general accounts as present-
ed be passed and paid,
Purdon-MCGowan— That road
signs be erected on certain dead
end roads by the road superinten-
dent.
At three o'clock the court of re-
vision on the 1958 assessment roll
was opened. The council sub-
scribed to the oath of the ;court.
One appeal was heard, that of Ed-
gar Wightman. After some discus-
sion it was moved by Buchan and
Purdon that council dismiss. the
appeal.
