60th Anniversary
At Calvin Church
ST, HELENS—Flowers in -abun-
dance, including 'a basket placed
by the family in Memory of the
late Mr, and Mrs, R, J, Woods,
added to the beauty of Calvin
Church on the occasion of its 60th
anniversary on Sunday. Rev. H. M.
Wright, a former -minister, now of
Monkton, was the guest, speaker
and preached inspiring sermons at ,
both services.
At the morning service a corn-.
munion table in memory of the
late Mrs. W. E. Gordon was un-
veiled by Lorne Woods and dedi-
cated by Rev. B. F, Green. At
the conclusion of the dedication
the 'old communion set, including
the urn, goblets and plates, were
placed on the table.
At the morning service the spec-
ial music included two anthems,
"Great Is the Lord" and "Great , Is
Thy Faithfulness", by the choir
,and a duet, "Be Still and Know",
.by Mr, and Mrs. E. W. Rice. At
the evening service Mrs. J. W,
Joynt, Mr. and Mrs. Raynard
Ackert and Mr. Bristow of Luck-
now sang "When They Ring Those
Golden Bells" and "Softly and
Tenderly Jesus Is Calling" and Mr.
Bristow sang "My Task".

At the morning service Mr. Hors-

and God'.' In evening he chose as
his' text "The Just Shall LiVe by
Faith".
Special music was provided by
the choir, and Gerald White
Waterloo was soloist• at the even-
ing service. Beautiful chrysanthe-
mums added to the beauty of the
service, The white mums were in
memory of the late Mrs. Anson
Galbraith.
The Woman's Missionary Society
meeting is postponed for one week.
