Mrs. Chris, Severt was taken by ambulance last week to Listowe Hospital suffering from pneumonia She is 90 years old and just one year ago underwent an operation from which she made a remarkable recovery_ Word was redeived from Galt last week that the three-year-old daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Fred Sie- 'fert, formerly of Fordwich, had been struck by a car and suffered severe injuries to her head and a fracture of the leg, Mrs. Williani Carswell, 85, is at present confined to Listovtel Hospi- tal. • Mr. Roy Bellamy of Arthur spent several days last week at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Jack King. Mrs. L. B. Gollop and two child ren of Toronto are spending twr weeks at the home of Mr, and Mrs "John Inglis, Mr. Noble Cattanach ,spent last week visiting in Toronto. Institute Holds Family Night FORDWICH—The Women's In- stitute held the October meeting in the community hall on Tuesay evening in the form of a family. night. A delicious supper was serv- ed to 95 people. This was a very special occasion, as one of the members, Mrs. Ernina Collins, Was celebrating her 95th birthday on Wednesday. She was presented with a birthday cake and a half dozen red roses. At the time of going to press her condition was slightly improved.
