FORDWICH—The Sih'er Star
Mission Band , held its October
meeting in the United Church
basement. The meeting opened with
the members' purpose. The roll Call
was answered by 60 members and
visitors,
Birthday greetings were sung to,
Shirley Eurig, Garfield Gibson,
Janie Hambly, Bobbie Gibson and
Robert Bride. A very interesting
talk was given by Mrs, Kato on
the customs of Japan. Shp was
dressed in a Japanse costume and'
displayed other Japanese articles,
Mrs, Kato, her husband and family,
are living in this vicinity at the
present time,
Mrs. Robert Gibson thanked the
guest on behalf of the Mission.

FORDWICH—The W.A. of the
United Church met in the church
parlors for the regular meeting -
with Mrs. Glenn. Johnston in the
chair. The meeting opened with
the hymn, "Come Ye Faithful
People Come". Mrs. 'George Rich-
ards read the Scripture lesson and
the comments were given by the
president.
The minutes were read and ad-
opted and the report of the parson-
age committee was heard. Further
plans were made for the bazaar
Which will be held in December in
the basement of the church. Quilt-
ing was done and Mrs. Harold Doig
