learn that Roddy .had his barn
burned to the ground while he and
his wife and family were attend-
ing the London Fair, He had
bought the barn from the farm
across the road, brought it home
and put a foundation under it. It
was finished only that week and
had not been insured. Cause of
the fire is not known.

patient in Wingham Hospital dur-
ing the week-end.

WHITECHURCH—Neil McCal-
lum, who for many Years farmed
on the 4th Con. of Kinloss, Passed
away in Wingham Hospital on Sun-
day last hi hie 75th year, Neil was
well known over the district, when
be was a Player of the hag-pipes
hi the Lucknow Scottish Band. On
account of ill health, he moved
over twenty Years ago to Lucknow,
where for 'the past years he has
been a great sufferer.
His wife, Elizabeth Macintosh
and three draighters survive, Mrs,
Win. Scott (Donelda) of Langsidet
Mrs, Ivan. Copley (Jean) of Luck-
how, and Mrs. Clifford • Johnston
(Nellie) of Holyrood; also six
grandchildren.
Interment was from the MeLen-
nan-McKenzie funeral home in
Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow on
(Thursday, with Rev. McClean of
the Presbyterian Church officiat-
ing.
