Despite a shower of rain at noon
hour on; Saturday, the 99th Fall.
Fair of the Howick Agricultural.
Society had the largest crowd and
biggest gate receipts of all time.
Sunny weather prevailed all after-
noon, The fair was opened by the
Warden of Huron, J. Morrisey.
The exhibits by the school child-
ren were excellent and spectators
were treated to a fine program 5f
outside events. Inside exhibits
soared to a new high in flower and
domestic science divisions.
The school parade was !headed by
the Legion Kiitie Band of Palmer-
ston. Miss Minnie McElwain was
high competitor in the Domestic
Science Class.

Wayne Johnston of Fordwich ;won
the wrist watch donated by ,the
Bank of Commerce. MallorieKief-
fer of Wingham won the watch
