ducted the cooking school, She was
'assisted by Mrs. Bernard Thomas.
Her subject was "Luncheon Dish-
es and Garnishes for Salads", and
she demonstrated an Icing for cake
in a very expert manner. As Mrs.
Seriver demonstrates she talke arid
much of her conversation is most
amusing.
Two films were shown during
the evening. The first was a junior
cooking contest where there were
80 entries, The other one was about
an Indian gathering in Ontario,
showing the Indians in their native
costumes, complete with headdress,
moccasins and fancy pants. It was
most colorful.

A number of prizes donated• by
the businessmen of the village were
drawn for by Mrs. Thomas, the
following being the winners:
Mrs. Chas. Bosman, Mrs. Eldon
Kirton, Mrs. Ross Tu,rvey, Mrs, W.
Harmer, Mrs. Selwyn Baker, Mrs,
Russel Bradshaw, lyfri. Harold
Grant and Mrs, William Robert-
son.
A prize was given to anyone who
had a birthday on the 24th. Mrs.
Russel Bradshaw was the winner
and she received a handsome cake,
which had been iced by Mrs. S'cri-
ver. Mrs. Nora Moffatt provided
piano selections during the even-
ing. contest on Canada.

returned from a five weeks' trip
to the Maritime Provinces. While
there, Mr. Farrish, who this year
is' vice president of the R.OP.
Dairy Cattle Inspectors of Canada,
did three weeks' testing work for
the Department of Agriculture in
Nova Scotia and also met mem-
bers of the association in the East.
They were accompanied by Mrs.
'Farrish's sister, Mrs. Redvers Pin-
