Her subject was "Luncheon Dish- es and Garnishes for Salads", and she demonstrated an Icing for cake in a very expert manner. As Mrs. Seriver demonstrates she talke arid much of her conversation is most amusing. Two films were shown during the evening. The first was a junior cooking contest where there were 80 entries, The other one was about an Indian gathering in Ontario, showing the Indians in their native costumes, complete with headdress, moccasins and fancy pants. It was most colorful. • A number of prizes donated• by the businessmen of the village were drawn for by Mrs. Thomas, the following being the winners: Mrs. Chas. Bosman, Mrs. Eldon Kirton, Mrs. Ross Tu,rvey, Mrs, W. Harmer, Mrs. Selwyn Baker, Mrs, Russel Bradshaw, lyfri. Harold Grant and Mrs, William Robert- son. A prize was given to anyone who had a birthday on the 24th. Mrs. Russel Bradshaw was the winner and she received a handsome cake, which had been iced by Mrs. S'cri- ver.
