KINETTES OPEN
FALL SEASON
Mrs. .11Ittrray Stainton was hos-
tess to the first fall meeting of
the Winghain Kinette Club on
Monday evdning with the new
president, Mrs. Jim Currie in
charge,
The roll call was answered •by
how each member spent their holi-
day during the summer. Mrs. Jack
tateson was presented with the
past president's pin, and one new
member, Mrs. Max McCarter was
welcorried into the club.
The conveners of the different
committees gave reports on the
Work accomplished during the year
which was quite successful. The
new committees with their new
conveners, were named for the conn-
ing year, Plans were made for the
fall tea 'in October when the Welty

will be drawn.
Luncheon was served by the hos-
tess assisted by Mrs. Jack, Walker.

Jack Porter, skip, of Teeswater,
With three wins and a plus of 35.

Archie Townsend and Stewart Rob-
ertson of Goderich; E. Downey and
partner of Harriston; J. H. Craw-
ford and Omar Haselgrove, Wing-

The September meeting of . the
Baptist Young Women's Mission
Circle' wg's held at the home of Mrs,
Earl Weitz on Thursday evening,
"Work for the Night Is Coming"
was sung and the president opened'
with prayer. Considerable business
was dealt with which included
some plans for the making of
quilts to be seneto *RO, a\l'arnes of
missionaries were given out and
the members were asked to write
letters at once.
After some discussion it was de-
cided to organize a nursery for the
children during church service.
Mrs. Pedley and Mrs. B, MacLean
were appointed as a committee to
be in charge of the arrangetnents
and to order the necessary material
for teaching. ,
Miss Mary Stapleton sang a solo
"Grace Greater Than 'Our Sins."
The topic for the evening was a
study 'on our work in Quebec and
was under the leadership of Mrs.
Sinclair. Some very interesting arti-
cles were• read telling of the radio
station at La Chute, the T.V. stat-
ion at Noranda and how the Gospel
:was reaching thousands in this
way. Those who assisted in this

Rodgers, Mrs. R. Kilpatrick and
