Miss Rachel F, DO' -.died on. Sint-
day, September 7, in Mount Ham-
ilton Hospital, following
an ilinesS of one year,
Miss Dey, a daughter of the late
Agne4, Cowan ant Alexander POY,
was born, in West WaVetenctsh Twp
82 years ago, She was echicated In
Blyth and' Wing-ham schools, She
was. a filing clerk and worked at
that occupation in Chicago,
for .about fifteen years.
When she returned tp Canada,
Miss Dey resided in Wingham until
fourteen, years agp. At tnat time
she moved to Hamilton to live
with her sister, Mrs, Davis (Jean)
Jerome, the .cirily surviving Member.
of the 'family.
Brothers and sisters who prede-
ceased her were 'John and James
'Dey, Janet (Mrs. 3. W, Martin)
Jaekeen City, Mich.: Miss Elizabeth
Dey and, Helen (Mrs, Geo, Irwin)
of Wingham and Agnes (Mrs, H.
Ferguson) of Zion City, Ill.
A member of the Preebyterian
Church, she Sang in St, Andrew's
choir for many years. She was a
member of the Uplift Club in Ham-
ilton.
The funeral was held from the
R. A. Currie 4 Sons funeral home
on /Tuesday afternoon at two
o'eloc,k with Rev. T, G, Husser
eondneting the service. Interment
was in Wingham Cemetery.
The pallbearers were: Gordon
Dey, Charles Dey, Jack; Dey, Glen
Black, Wilfred Henry, James Mur-
ray.

Following a long illness, Mr's.
Arthur Trhompson of R.R. 1d Blue=
vale passed away in Victoria Hos-
pital; London, on Tuesday, •Septem-
ber 2nd.
Born '36 years ago at Zurich,
Ontario:she was a daughter of the
late Frank Kochems and Anna
Otto. She attended Zurich Public
School and Exeter High School. ,
On January 10, 1942, she was
married in London to Arthur
Thompson. They moved to this dis-
trict in October 1948,
Surviving besides her husband
are two children, Jean 16 and
Graham 11, both at home, There
"are also two' brothers and two sis-
ters, John of London, 'Franz of
Baden and Mrs, Edna Wettlauar
and 1VIrs„Mary Weido, both of Kit-
chener.
Mrs, Thompson was a member of
Howicic Branch 307, Ladies' Mix-
iliary British Empire Service Leg-
ion.
The 'funeral was „held •from the
Moir funeral home, Gorrie, at two
o'clock on September 5th, with in-
terment in Wrexeter Cemetery,
Rev. 3, W. Hird of Gorrie officiat-
ed.

and Jock Miller,
