will mark his . 88th birthday on.
Wednesday, September 3rd, al-
though no One would guess it from
his appearance, He .;leads a very
active .life, driving his car and
making visits to many of the shut
ins, He also enjoys bowling and
looks after his 'own bowling green;
Mr; Douglas takes a great interest
in his church and local happenings
in the commuity,.
He has. resided in Howick, all
his life. Born on 'Highway 87, ,east
of Fordwich, Mr. Douglas farmed
at Belmore before retiring to Gor-
rie, where lie resides with his only
daughter, Mrs, E. •W. Whitfield, He,
has two sisters, Mrs Alex McKen-
zie of Harriston, who has reached
the age of 94.'' and Mrs. Robert
Graham of Gorrie. -

her 88th birthday when her niece
