A4 The private plans and insurance companies will ,be
offering many:forms of additional coverage, including
payment for the,difference in cost between standard ward
and semipriVate or private hospital accommodation,
medical-benefits, etc.
Q. What happens if I do not qualify to enrol
in a group and don't enrol as an individual
by September 30, 1958?
A. You may enrol at any time BUT you will lose the two
mo'nths' free coverage, and you will be required to wait
three months fallowing date application is received before,
benefits becomi available to you. For example: if you do
not apply, say, until February you will not have protection
until-Islay 1st.
Q. How does a resident make application for Pay-Direet enrolment?
A, If you will not be registered through a grot, complete an application form which you can
obtain at a bank at hospital, In commnnities wit out a bank the on)) may be obtained from the
post effiee. Man the form to, the CoMmission with your cheque 9r money order for one month's
premiurn.,If received on or'before September 80) 1958, this payment will cover the three months
of January, February and March, 1959, In other words, if you registet before the closing date you
get two months' flee coverage. Subsequent payments will be on a quarterly basis, beginning
