GODERICH • PORDWICH—Cary, 12-year-old
son of Mr. and Mrs, William Soth-
em, was taken to Victoria Hospi-
tal, London, on Sunday night,
where he underwent -surgery on
the fourth finger of his left hand.
In some manner, while playing
with a hatchet, it slipped and sev-
erely severed the tendons. It was
placed in a cast and later he was
removed to Sick Children's Hospi-
tal, whore he will be confined for
three or fOur days.
