Mission Band of the Presbyterian

Mrs. D. Lawrence
Dies in Wingham
WHITECHURCH--Mrs. David
Lawrence of Flint, Mich., passed
away in Wingham Hospital last
Monday after suffering for two
weeks from a stroke.
Formerly Christine McKenzie,
she was the oldest daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Mc-
Kenzie,' pioneers of Kinloss. Her'
husband predeceased her many
years ago.
She had come from her home to
visit with her sister, Mrs, Thos,
Inglis and other relatives in this
district and attended the Lucknow
Centennial. Two sons, Elmo of
New Jersey and Mr. and Mrs.
Donald McKenzie, of Flint, Mich.,
were here for the funeral, which
was held last Thursday .from the
Johnstone funeral home, Lucknow,
to Greenhill Cemetery, with her
six nephews as pallbearers.
Mr. Roddy Inglis and his sons,
Douglas and Brian, of Watford, at-
tended the funeral, and his daugh-
ter, Heather, who had been visiting
with her aunt, Mrs. Oscar Kieffer • of Turnberry, returned home with
them.

R.C:A.F. in Germany, returned
home last week and visited with

'Mr. and 'MO. Ross Smith and
baby Kathy, spent the week-end
with her parentS, after holidaying
in Northern Ontario for a week,
and left on Sunday for their home
in Toronto. •

Holyrood .visited on Sunday with
