Grainger, a for- mer Grey Township farmer, died on Saturday in, Toronto In his 84th year, He was a son of the late Tiles. Grainger and his wife, Sarah Page and was born on lot 27, con, 1 Grey Township. He was well known in the Molesworth and Jamestown districts, He moved to Toronto in 1944.. lie was a life-long member of the former Methodist and later United Church also of the Moles- worth L.O,L. His wife, the former Ada Mc. Cracking predeceased him in 1940 Surviving are five sons, Howard Detroit; Mervyn, Exeter; Cecil Gorrie; Clarence, Wallaceburg and Stanley, London; two daughters Mrs. Walter (Ruby) Goodwin Lloydminster, Alberta and Mrs. Robert (Irene) Jones, Toronto; 14 grandchildren and three 'great Trandchildren. Funeral service was in the Moir funeral home, Gorrie, at 2, p.m. or vfonday, conducted by the Rev, J W. Hird, Gorrie. Pallbearers Were; Andrew McLennan, Allan McKer- cher, George Brown, Selah Brec- kenridge, Clarence Nethercott and Percy McCrackin. The pregident, Mrs. Gordon Bosman, was in charge and opened the meeting with a hymn. There were 1.1 visits to the sick and -shut-in recorded, The name labels were handed out to those present and more names were taken for future orders. Mrs. Clarence Hanna's group were in charge of• the worship per- iod. She was assisted by Mrs. Ross Robinson and Mrs, Clifford Logan. The meeting closed with prayer. Jacklin Farmed in Howick Webster Herbert Jacklin passed away an Thursday, August 14th, at his home in Listowel. HO was in his 62nd year and had been ill Nil. two years, A native of Grey' Township, he was born May 9, 1897, He farmed in Howick Townsihp until retiring to ListOwel about a year ago, He Was a member of the United Church and the Orange Lodge. On September, 29, 1926 he married Eva McCreery in Howick Town- ship, She survives With three daughters, MO, Archie (Mildred) Purdon, of Wingham; Miss Max- ine Jacklin of London", Mrs, tong las (Nora) Kaufman of Kitchener, and one grandchild.
