AB BACON, , Your Hog Director, 30* George Herd Was Buried in Teeswater Mr. George Herd, prominent resi-, dent of Riversdale, died at his home' on Sunday morning, July 20, in his 74th year. He was a life-long, resident of this district, and a member of the United Church and the Masonic Lodge. A son of the late Mr, and Mrs. Rector Herd, he Was' born near Riversdale, on the farni where he died, which he' operated since 1988. In 1913 he was married to Margaret Taekaberry at Lion's Head. From 1922 to 1938 they operated a store in Bellmore. . . Toronto, Ontario. 23,30b Funeral Mrs. Mundy Held oh Saturday A resident of this community for many years, Mrs. Harry Mun-: dy, died at the home of her daii- ghter in Sarnia on Wednesday of last week. Mrs. Mundy, who Was in her 95th year, had been •1111 for about four weeks, Born at Bromley, Kent, England, she was the last of a family' of three, Mr. and Mrs. Mindy first came to Canada and settled at Woodstock 56 years ago. In ,1905 they returned to England, coming back to Canada in 1914. They came to Wi,ngharn at that time and Mrs.. Mundy resided here continuously until going to Sarnia a few years ago.. Mr. Mundy died in 1949. Mrs. Mundy was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She is survived by four sons and one daughter, Roy and Theodore, Wingham; Basil of Woodstock; Harcourt of London and Mrs. Fred (Ivy) Ilanrnore of Sarnia. There are 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grand- children and 2 great-great-grand children. One daughter, died in infancy. Service was held at R. A. Currie & Sons funeral home on Saturday at 2 p.m., with interment in the Wingham Cemetery. Rev. T, G.- Husser of the United Church was in charge of the services, 'Pall- bearers were Bob, Norman, Douglas and Lloyd Mundy, Ken and Bob Mowbray.
