Girls in Training. entertained their
mothers at u Japanese ten party in
the church basement on Thursday,
July 10. The church was decorated.
with blue and white streal;nara and
lanterns made by the girls.
.Patsy Logan was the hostess and
welaorned the girls at the door in
traditional Japanese fashion, that
is the girls bowing to •each other.:
The girls were all dressed .as Ja-
panese. Mrs. Ted Fear, leader of
the gins, conducted several .Ja
Panese gullies. After the games the
mothers :and girls all gathered
around the Japanese tea table, site
ting on cushions on the floor. Each
one had a bowl and a pair of chop-.
sticks. Rice was served and then
sponge cake and fresh fruit and
green tea. Japanese candy com-
pleted the menu.
After tea the girls paraded aiid
the mothers judged the costumes
as follows: First .prise, Jean Han -
nit; second, Karen Anderson; third,
Barbara Krug. The rest of the
girls enjoyed a caramel scramble,
Mrs. Clarence -Hanna :thanked Mrs.
Fear and the C.G.I.T, members on
behalf of :the mothers. The party
closed with Taps,
ceYes, Doctor ....Wednesday, will be fine!"

FAMILY REUNION
AT' PROCTER HOME
The 27th annual Procter reunion
was held at the home ' of Mr. and
Mrs. Stewart Procter on Sunday
afternoon. with about 78. in attend-
ance.
The president was Alvin Procter;
the secretary -treasurer, was • Mary
Alice Armstrong; lunch: committee,
Mrs. Stewart Procter, Mrs. Clar-
ence Yuill, Mrs. George Howson
and Mrs. Wes Kerr.
George Howson.. and, Jack . Hig-
gins were in charge of treats for
the children. A peanut scramble
was held for the children and bal-
loons and suckers were handed out.
A bountiful lawn - supper was
served by the committee. Friends
were present fiom Toronto, De-
trait, ;Burlington, Oakville, Gorier

BELGRAVE—The regular meet-
ing of the Evening Auxiliary of
the Woman's Missionary Society of
Knox United Church was held on.
Tuesday evening at the home of
Mrs. Ross Robinson, with. 21 mem-
bers answering the roll call.
The. president, Mrs. Gordon Bos-
nian was in charge and opened the
meeting with a hymn followed by
prayer by Mrs. Cameron Walsh.
The first part of the Scripture
lesson was read by Mrs. Kenneth
Barbour followed by a hymn; sec-
ond part by Mrs. Harold Walsh,
followed by a: hymn and the third
part was read by Mrs. Ted Fear
followed by a hymn. The Lord's
prayer was repeated in unison.
Mrs. 'Bosman, gave a reading.
There were 25 hospital and three.

purchase the C.G,I.T, packet for
the New Year: The group made
