dedicate the recently installed
Hammond organ. •
Rev, Sinclair Is a ',graduate, of
the Toronto' Bible College and held
fernier pastorates at Courtliend,
Hepworth and Orangeville', He was
ordained at the Sciuth End Baptist
Church in Owen Sound in
April 1937, He married' the formee
Sean McElroy at Midland and
they have two children, Lois
end Ruth,
Rev. and Mrs, Sinclair have
taken, up residence on .Minnie
Street, in .the house recently vie-
dated by Mr. and Mrs. Paxton.

Levi Good, of Wingham On Monday.
Mr. Geed Marked his birthday on
Dominion. Day ape is in good
health with the exception of a
ketch of stomach trouble, a slight
rerninder, of the ulcers- which •he
says all but , finished him 54 ereara
ago. Mr. 'Good maintains that the
cure he, took at that time was
pretty effevtive—tea brewed' frOm
the thorns of a wild' fruit tree.
He" learned of the old' Indian
remedy :only' after the Medical Men
had given him up. -
Mr, Good, who has" retained a.
lively sense of humor, was born in,
Waterloo County, but moved to
Culross Township at the age'sf six.
He relidedaed later fanned_ on the
14th concession near Formosa for
59 years, .Moving to the 12th con-
cession of the same township he
spent 20 years there before moving
to East Wawanosh Township. He
sold his property there ,about six
yeers.•itgo and spent some years
with various members of his family.
For the past 18 months he has re-
sided with Mrs, Rogers on
Street.
Mr. Good has two sons, Levi and
Leander, both of Tawas-loser; two
daeghters, Pauline of Oshawa 'and
Rosetta of ••ehe United States:

NEW CLERFEREAS.
John G. Berry, who has, been
assistant ' clerk-treasurer of the
County of Huron' for" some years,
was last week named to succeed
the late Harvey Erskine as clerk
treasurer. Council met in special
session to consider the appoint-
ment.
County officials from Huron and
other Western Ontario Counties as
well As church, civic and lodge
officials attended the funeral of
the late Mr; Etekine at Knox Pres-
byterian Church in Goderieh. Ex-,
pressions Of regret were voiced
universally ever the sudden passing
of. a man who was outstandingly
efficient in, his own field and ex-
tremely well-informed on a multi-
tude of matters touching on muni-
cipal government,
Warden John Morrissey of Huron
spoke of Mr. Erskine as "a great
administrator and officer . . a
man who will be very difficult •to
replace.
The former clerk-treasurer died
of a heart seizure at the' home of
Charles Stager the clerk of Water-
loo County, 'The two officials ex-
pected to attend the opening of the
new Wentworth County building in
Hamilton the following day.

Donna, Burroughs, the four-year-
old daughter of Mrs, Wesley Bur-
roughs, R.R. 1, Ethel, is confined
to the Wingham Hospital, following
an accident on Sunday, when she
was struck on the head by a rock
Examination disclosed the possibil-
ity of a frectured skull.
Last Friday Jane McPherson,
aged 18 months, and the daughter;
of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas McPher-1
son, Was admitted to the hospital
here after swallowing cleaningi
fluid, The child's condition is

Garey Elton Wilson, 15, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Elton Wilson of
R.R. 3, 13russels, is said to be 'in
satisfactory condition in the Wing-
ham Hospital 'following a tractor
accident on Monday, The lad was
driving the farm tractor When it
rolled on an incline and he was
caught beneath the machine. He
was- fourid by neighbours passing
by. Examination at the hospital
disclosed severe contusions to his,
chest and he was suffering from
shock.
John White, 10, eon of Mr, and
Mrs, Wilfred White of Wingham
suffered a fractured wrist when he
fell from a swing on Tuesday. He
as •progressing satisfactorily.

these are committees to study edu-
cation, transportation and finance.

Formation of , the- association has
resulted from discussions in Lions
Clubs -at Brussels, 1...ucknow
and Wingharn. One of its prime
objects is the establishment of a
school for mentally retarded chil-
dren. Such schools have been- ea
tablished in 'many other centres
and have enabled retarded children
to learn simple skills and so to
later fit themselves successfully*
into society.
The school contemplated &see
not involve large expenditures for
building, etc., but much more im-
portant, proper instruction from
the type of teaeper 'who has the
patience and understanding- to
offer real assistance to retarded
children.
