she enjoyed life to the bin, her

mony to her frieeds, both young

in 1866, she with one of A family
of eleven, all of whom predeceas-
ed her. In 1892 she was married to
John L. Falconer and for many
years they farined in the Whig-

4 cups prepared fruit (1 orange,
1 lemon, and about 1 quart ripe
strawberries)
7.cups (3 lbs.) sugar
3/4 bottle Certo
First, prepare the fruit, Cut 1 me-
dihm-sized orange and 1 medium-
sized lemon in quarters.. Remove
steeds. Grind, chop fine, or slice
crosswise wafer thin, Add Vs 'cup
water and 3/8 teaspoon soda. Bring to a boil. Simmer, covered, 30
minutes, stirring occasionally,
Crush thoroughly about 1 quart
fully ripe strawberries. Combine
fruits and juices and measure 4
cups into very large saucepan,
Oen, make the marmalade. Add
ItLgar to fruit in saucepan, mix
well., Piece over high heat, bring
to a full rolling boil. Boil hard
trtinete, stirring constantly. Re-
-Move from heat, etir in Certo
once. Skim off foam with metal
. spoon, Stir and skim by turns for
5 Minutes to cool slightly, to pre-
vent iloating fruit. Ladle quickly
into glesses. Cover at once with
4.e inchlhot paraffin. Makes about 10 mediion glasses.

but for the last eight years was a
faithful adherent of Alton Baptist
