'GORRIE—The Rev. john Oster
hour, a retired United;Church min-
ister, well. known in this commun-
ity ,when served Wroxeter
and Luekhovv died Friday, May 16,
at the age of 85. He was a tiro-
tiler of the late M.ri. Pearl Kaine,
formerly 'of .Gorrie, Who resided
with' him' at Chatham, and who
died in August' of last year. His
last Pastorate' was 'in Ottawa.

GORRIE—A highly respected m-
ordent of Gorrie in the person of
George A. Dane 'passed away in
the Wingham Hospital on Sunday,
MAY 18th, 1958.
The, late Mr. Dane ha been in
his usual. health when -he retired,
on Wednesday evening,. but suf-
feted a severe paralytic stroke
during the early morning hours. He
never regained consciousness.
• He was the eldest son of six
children both to John Dane and
Ellen Trimble, whose parents had
come to Canada from Enniskillen
County, Ireland, in 1832,, coming
to Howl& in 1854. The subject of
this 131teteli Was born on June 171h,
1871 In Bruce Conety, living there
for one year. ,,when his parents re-
turned to Howiek, where he had
resided ever since.
He Was anirrled Annie Agnes
Armstrong' 'of on Jan-
uary 16th, 1901. Mrs, .Dane prede-
ceased him on July 12th, 1946. He
is survived by four daughters and
