Gram Meeting held at the home of

Mrs, J. Clarke conducted the
Worship' and opened the meeting
With a spring poem, The hymn
"Simply Trusting" was sung and
Mrs K. McMichael read the Scrip,

WROXETER—The members of
the CGIT., held a spring tea and
flower sale on Saturday in 'the
Wroxeter United Church, The
church parlor was tastefully dec-
orated with been and white
streamers and baskets of daffodils
and mums.,Mrs, K. Edgar opened
the tea. and presided at the tea
table and 'ladies of the W.M.S. as-
sisted with the preparations.
Mrs. O'Krafka welcomed the
guests and they were served
by the members at the .tables cen-
tred with spring flowers. A table
of dainty handmade flowers found
ready sale with Joyce Ford in
charge. The, members, Dawn Lue
Clark,' Elailm Sanderson, Betty
Anne Adams, Carol Loutitt, Carol
Newton, Helen McGee, Marie Has-
tie, • Ruth. Grainger .•and Nadene
'Cook, are to be congratulated for
their fine work under the leader-
ship of Mrs. O'Krafka and Mrs, R.
Edgar.

of April 28th, apprOxiMately 150
people sat down to supper and en-
tertainment in the recreation room
of Wroxeter community hail, food.
'being donated by the community.
This was another successful
event sponsored 'by the hall board
and the response was appreciated.
'A goodly sum was realized in aid
of the renovation fund.

RELMORE—The April meeting
of the Woman's Missionary Soc-
iety of Belmore United Church
was held on Wednesday afternoon
at the home of Mrs. Fred Double-
dee.
Mrs. West, as leader, opened the
meeting with the singing of a.
hymn and prayer, The Bible read-
ing• was taken in 1st. Corinthians
12th chapter, verses 4 to 27 and
read responsively, "When I Survey
the Wondrous Cross," was sung.
The panel presentation, "Women
of the Church", was taken by Mrs.
West, Mrs. Abraham, Mrs; Newans
and Mrs. W. Johann. Mrs, Roy
Rutherford had a reading on Tem-
perance, Mrs Wm, Errington read
chapter 6'in the study book on
Japan, Plans Were made for send-'
ing another bale of clothing to
Korea,
Miss. Mat 'Doubledee sang a
soh), "13eautiful Isle of Some-
where" which Was intich apprecia-
ted, The roll call on "Easter" was
well responded to, after which
Mrs. West closed the Meeting with.

towel, spent Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs, Boyne Sage, Listowel.
Mr. and Mrs, Ira McLean were
Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earl
:McLean, St. Catharines and were
accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
Hart, who spent tiltn day with Mr.
and Mrs. Billy Hart.
Fa iends of Mr.. Vernon Hupfer
will be sorry to learn he is a pat-
ient in Wingham General Hospital
with blood, poison ia a finger of
his right hand. -We hope for a
speedy and complete recovery,
Mrs, J, b. McGillivary, Paisley,
spent the week-end with her
mother, Mrs. Wm, Gibson. Mr, and
Mrs. Dean' Gibson, Lucan, were
Sunday visitors at the same home.
We pre pleased to hear that Mrs.
Percy Coupland is home from
London Hospital and is much im-
proved. •

Paul, Listowel, spent Sunday with
Mr. and,Mrs. Ross Coates.
Mr. and Mrs. "Bud" Stewart and
family, Harriston, were Sunday
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Verne
• Clark, the occasion being Dawn
Lue Clark's birthday,
Miss Winnie Mtinio is home from
Western University, London, for
summer vacation.
Mrs, Harvey Coupland and Mrs.
William Markley spent a week in
'London with the latter's mother,
while in St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mrs. Margaret Willits is spend-
ing some time with Mr. and Mrs.
Coupland.
