Legion rooms for their April 'meet-
ing with Mrs. Blythe Clarke, presi-
dent in the chair. Business and
accounts were taken care of.
Letters from soldiers in. West-
minster were read, also one from
the recreation director at West-
minster asking for jig saw puzzles
to. be sent to the men., A letter
was also read from a member who
is hospitalized and thank you notes
from membbers who have moved.

sels on April 17th and plans were

la Hall of Blyth installed Mrs.
Jack Wilson as first vice-pres:
Mrs. Hall then gave a very in-
spiring talk, on Legion work. She
said money was not our yardstick,
but .ts necessary to carry on the
work. She also said the Legion
was fighting for November 11th to
be held on that day and not the
day before or after. She was pre-
sented with a gift by the president.
Mystery prize was won by Mrs. E.
Bradley of Blyth donated by Mrs.
Emma Williamson.
The meeting adjourned and a
social time was spent.

ter Thankofferirig meeting. on
Tuesday of lest week with the la-
dies of Brick Church W.M.S. as
guests. Mrs, James Falconer, the
president, presided and gave the
call to worship, Mrs, Milian Mo'ore
had charge of the devotional per-
iod, speaking on "The Choice of
the Cross and the Abundant Life".
Mrs. Herbert Laidlaw led in the
Scripture lesson from Mark 14 and
Mrs. J. D. Beecroft led in 'prayer.
Rev, P„ A, Brook was the guest
speaker and spoke of our reSpona
lability to the missionary cause and
work, He said more people were
giving to the cause of -missions

that when the missionaries give
