Dies at Bluevale
ST. liELENS—News of the dea-th
of John McQuillin came as a great
shock to his many friends here. Mr.
511eQuillin, a highly respected and
life-long resident ef the corOthent„,
had spent Easter at his home here,
and had gone to -the borne of his
daughter, Mrs, Carl johnston,
Bluevale, last Sunday, with the in-
tention pf returning to Wintlaor
during the week. •

People Meet
WHITF-lbHURCH—The young
people of the 'United Church 'held
their meeting last. Tuesday evening
in the Sunday School 'room with
Paul and .Karen Groakorth ,in
charge of the Meeting; Paul led in
'the Ea.ster meditation and • in,
prayer, Ttev, R, A, Brook read the
Scripture lesson on the -Resurrec-
tion. Cary Chapman read a poem,.
and' Karen •Ciroskorth told, the
B€1ster stOry, The president, Arthlir
Laidlaw, conducted a Bible puzzle.
The group decided to hold their
next meeting 'in three weeks, on
account of the youth rally in Code,
rich on Tuesday in two' weeks, 'The
meeting was closed by the Mizpah.

special service on Sunday morning
for the children of the church, and

Will Believe". Alex Craig, George
Conn and Harley Gaunt sang a trio

Deris Ross ,and Harley Gaunt read
the Seripthre 'lessons, and Rev.
Marshall told how during the war,

Held Meetings
BELMORE--On Monday evening
April 7 Edmore Guardian Angels'
opened the 4-H meeting by repeat-
ing the 4-H Pledge. Mae Double-
dee, read the minutes of the last
meeting. The 'roll call , was answer-
ed ;by naming. a book you would
like to read. The-next Meeting was,
set for Wedneaday ,night; April 9
at 8,30. •
Mrs. John 'Rutherford gave a
few notes on posture, 'The - hOme
assignments 'were,. check your pos-
ture as you work and play, put
the good and bad points in your
record books. ,Werk on 'record
hooks. The, , roll call fel- th,e 'next
meeting, a defect in your posture,
The girls then talked about our
I first aid kits and closed the meet-
ing with "God Save the Queen."
On Wednesday evening the
fourth meeting of the 4-H club
opened by repeating the pledge.
Roll call was "a defect in Our pos-
ture". The next meeting was set
for,Monday, April 14. Donna Ren-
wick gave a demonstration on how
to 'pick up thingS, followed by -a
demonstration on how to read and
write by Sharon Merkley. Sharon
Simmons gave another on walking
And standing. Mrs. Johann told.

Rutherford gave some safety rules
in the home, and Mrs. Johann

to,begin charts of hMyself and My
Home", work on first aid kits,
study traffic laws, fill in check
aheets ,page 3 and 4, and work at
