March. and the Maitland gave us
a grand surprise this year—no
rains, no floods, no tearing winds ,
sounding in the night and mMg-
ling with the rushing of water and -
the crash of ice floes against the
dam. Sildntly the snow, banks
dwindled, the tee broke .quietly'and
softly glided down the river, Now
the grey landscape, still in the
frills of snow, is softened ''by a
faint tinge of green "coaxed by the
smiling ts im. Can it ha that spring
is here?

"When a man 'dies, his widow is confronted with the
responsibility of looking after the family. There are 80 Many
necessary expenses so many good things she's used to,
like the family car.
This widow didn't have to sell the car. Her husband took
a realistic approach to life insurance protection. He carried
enough to cover any eventuality.
Carrying such protection is not a burden when you select the,
company that offers family protection at low
net cost. That's The Mutual Life of Canada—the gitr. trAIL--ateig I'
