Association Bantam hockey tourna-
ment got off to a good start last

Teams from. Teeswater, Fordwich,
Walkerton, Tobermory, Durham,
Chesley, Ebenezer, Shallow Lake,
Mildnlay, Port Elgin and Wingham
all competed in what turned out to
be a day of fun and excitement
for players and fans alike. Also
it must be added there was a
good show of great Sportsmanship
among the young hockey players, ,
The first game of the day got
under way •at nine o'clock with
Teeswater -and Fordwich crossing
oaths in a close and, hard-fought
game. Fordwich came out on top
With a 4-3" score.
The next game proved to be a
rough and ready ,affair with no
love lost between Wingham and
Walkerteri." Both teams played (M-
out but Wingham came out on the
heavy end of a 4-2 score, Gary
Templeman racked tip two of
Wingham's markers,
Chesley was handed the next
defeat when Shallow Lake wallop-
ed them 26-0. Shallow Lake's
Markers were distributed through-
out the .tham but the top scorer
was Joe Hainley with five to •his
credit,
Mildnirty and Ebenezer played
